MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN AND CO-FOUNDER

Welcome to the website of the Coalition of Multicultural Educators, Incorporated also known as COME, INC.  Since our inception in 2000, our goals have included providing financial assistance to augment the ranks of minority school guidance counselors and school psychologists and providing ongoing mentoring efforts.   

Our  501(c) 3 organization's existence came out of  what we deemed a real need.  We realize that in the 21st century minority men in the field of school guidance counseling and school psychology are reaching retirement age significantly reducing their already extremely limited numbers. We also realize that minorities in general are under represented in the field of school psychology. Yet, many of our urban youth are minorities who would benefit from role models reflective of their diversity. We hold that it remains vital for COME, INC. to share in the training and recruitment of multicultural individuals in these fields to serve our youth effectively.
